Sketch for Survival Junior helps to raise vital awareness about species extinction and biodiversity loss while also raising funds for projects around the world. The competition showcases a range of different art styles and unites the voices of young people from all around the world in support of conservation. We regularly receive entries from around the world including Singapore, Sri Lanka, India, China, South Korea, Iran, Pakistan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Australia & NZ, Canada, the US, Brazil, Dubai, Qatar, Turkey, Tanzania, South Africa and most countries in Europe. In 2025 we have three age groups. Submissions open 1 February and close 12 June. If you're too late for this year, keep it in mind for 2026!

Then join UNESCO in promoting dialogue, diversity and development! The 2025 edition of the Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads international photo contest, open to everyone around the world aged 14 to 25, is an unmissable opportunity to share your creative talent and capture the vibrant shared heritage of the Silk Roads. This year, the theme of the 7th edition is “Women, Guardians of Silk Road Heritage.” By highlighting the historical and contemporary roles of women, the contest aims to raise awareness of their enduring influence in promoting intercultural dialogue, transmitting of knowledge, and the building of more inclusive societies. Deadline for submissions is July 20, 2025 at 23:59:59 (GMT +1).

The Sony World Photography Youth Awards is open to young passionate photographers aged 12 to 19 years-old. The first prize winner receives top Sony digital imaging equipment. The contest is free to enter (up to 3 images) and open to all 12-19 year-olds submitting images taken during the contest period. The contest runs from 1 June, 2025 to 6 January, 2026. The theme for this year's competition is not yet on their website (as of 8 June) so be sure to check their site before you select the photos to submit.
