Elicit

Elicit is an AI tool developed by the non-profit, Ought, which uses language models to extract data from and summarize research papers. As a DP student or teacher at ISU, you have access to an annual Plus subscription but you need to use the code provided by Ms. Surridge. We anticipate Elicit being most useful in research for Extended Essays and for IAs in the Sciences and Humanities. Students and teachers simply need to create an account with their ISU Google accounts and then choose "Upgrade" and select the Annual Pro option and then enter the promotion code. See the tutorial videos below for further instructions or reminders about how to use this AI tool.

PLEASE NOTE: Elicit will not provide access to papers it identifies. It is extremely useful for locating relevant academic research papers but you then need to find those papers on an academic database. If you are unable to find something Elicit recommends (on JSTOR or GALE), please let Ms. Surridge know and she will try to locate the paper(s) for you.
