MLA Resources for Primary: Advanced MLA formatting

Use this template for a properly-formatted MLA paper including the basics for a Works Cited.

Use this formatting template if you need to create an annotated bibliography from scratch. (Remember, NoodleTools or MyBib will generate a properly-formatted Works Cited with or without annotations.)

CAUTION: MyBib makes mistakes. You need to take the time to check your citations. It will often substitute the publisher or the name of the page for the author. This will create unnecessary duplication in your citation. A good rule to follow is to make sure nothing appears twice. If no person's name is listed on the source then you do not need to include an author in the citation. Additionally, MyBib often includes article or page titles in ALLCAPS. This is not adhering to the proper conventions and should be edited so that titles are in upper- and lower-case.
